ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF TERMS AND LIMITED WARRANTY FOR WATCH REPAIR & CO.
By using the services of Watch Repair & Co., you acknowledge and agree to the following terms and conditions of the limited warranty:
- Quartz Watch Overhaul – Coverage is valid for 1 year from the date of invoice.
- Quartz Watch Tune-Up – Coverage is valid for 90 days from the date of invoice.
- High-Grade Mechanical and Quartz Watches – Coverage is valid for 12 months from the date of invoice. Certain watches may qualify for extended coverage of up to 24 months, as specified at the time of repair. This warranty covers only the parts installed during the repair.
- Kinetic Watch Service – The capacitor/battery is covered for 1 year from the date of invoice for tune-up services.
- Complete Kinetic Service – Movement parts installed by Watch Repair & Co., as well as the capacitor/battery, are covered for 1 year. This warranty will be void if the watch is not worn for an extended period and the battery is allowed to fully discharge.
- Watch Battery Replacement – The original purchaser may return the watch to Watch Repair & Co. (at their expense) for battery replacement and pressure testing. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the owner. The warranty is limited to free battery replacement for 5 years from the date of invoice.
- Parts Replaced – Parts replaced during service are warranted to be free from defects and will be replaced at no charge if found defective. Damage caused by defective parts is not covered. Parts not replaced during service and labor are not covered under this warranty.
Exclusions of Warranty
This warranty does not cover:
- Damage resulting from abuse, neglect, modification, shock, or water intrusion
- Watch bracelets, bands, crystals, crowns, stems, or balance staffs
- Parts not replaced by Watch Repair & Co.
- Repairs performed by any party other than Watch Repair & Co.
- Opening of the watch by unauthorized persons
- Damage caused by defective parts
- Labor
Water Resistance
Watch Repair & Co. may pressure test your watch to verify compliance with ISO standards prior to return. However, water resistance cannot be guaranteed once the watch leaves our facility.
Improper Use
The following actions will void the limited warranty:
- Exposure to oils, solvents, chemicals, or hot water
- Showering, or wearing the watch in a hot tub or sauna
- Dropping the watch or subjecting it to impact
- Leaving the screw-down crown unsecured
- Operating pushers under water or when the watch is wet
Limitations of Repair
In some cases, full repair or accuracy may not be achievable due to factors such as age (vintage watches), prior neglect, severe damage, improper previous repairs, or lack of maintenance. Watch Repair & Co. will make reasonable efforts to achieve the best possible outcome.
Watch Repair & Co. confirms that, at the time of return, the watch is in working order with respect to all repairs, services, and functions specifically agreed upon and performed during the service process.
